StripWebBackground.jpg

A life built around doing something.

Christine Robertson OAM is a speaker, award-winning leader and community changemaker with more than four decades of experience bringing people together and turning difficult situations into practical action.

Named South Australia’s Local Hero in the 2023 Australian of the Year Awards, Christine’s leadership spans business, major events, community service, animal welfare, food and agriculture. She is CEO of the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market and Founder and Director of The Pawthority Group, the organisation behind Lost Pets of South Australia and Chipblitz, which has microchipped more than 100,000 animals across Australia.

Christine speaks with the authority of someone who has led through real challenges, built successful organisations and lived through breast cancer, heart failure and profound personal loss. Direct, warm and often very funny,

she shares honest stories about resilience, courage, kindness, leadership and what becomes possible

when ordinary people decide to act.

'I quietly admired Christine’s style watching her speak at the Royal Adelaide Show. She seamlessly incorporated the conversation we had prior to her presentation in an effortless way (with no notes!). She really is a terrific public speaker.'

Christine Robertson is the kind of keynote speaker who doesn’t simply stand at the front of a room and tell you about resilience, she shows you what it looks like when resilience has been lived, tested, broken open and rebuilt.

There is something extraordinarily powerful about Christine’s authenticity; there is no polished veneer, no pretending that courage means never struggling, and no attempt to make the difficult chapters of her life more palatable. She is gritty, vulnerable, wickedly funny and deeply human.

One of the most moving messages from her keynote was also one of the simplest; ‘We get up, we show up, and we bring someone else with us’. Yep, that is Christine.

Christine is warm, irreverent, intelligent, compassionate and profoundly kind. She can have a room laughing one moment and sitting in absolute silence the next, because underneath the humour is enormous depth and hard-earned wisdom.

There are keynote speakers whose words you remember, and then there are people like Christine, whose humanity you remember.

Most importantly, she leaves you wanting to get up, show up, and make damn sure you bring someone else through the door with you.

A slightly irreverent line that has followed me around for years. At the Farmers' Market, when someone asks where I am which is often, staff and volunteers often tell them exactly that. It turns out some personal brands deverlop themselves.
